Members of the new Christ’s Summer Rowing programme raced at Cantabs Regatta on Saturday, finishing an impressive 6th overall. The programme was developed to help athletes maintain fitness and develop technically over the summer, as well as to enjoy the warm weather that these months bring to the Cam! Christ’s College Crustaceans won the Novice Masters’ Pennant at the Vesta Veterans Head of the River 2018.

M2 has performed incredibly well this term. They managed to secure 2nd place in Pembroke regatta after having won Newnham Short Course a couple of weeks ago. Here if the full race report by M2 captain Sebastian Marshall:
CCBC has spent a week rowing on Lac d’Aiguebelette in southern France. This year we had a great turnout with 28 members from the club joining us. It has been a week of good weather, good laughs, erg tests and many many hours on the water. Difficult to imagine a better start to lent term. Read more “2018 France Training Camp”
This term has been a very promising one for the club, with both W1, M1 and M2 building solid crews essentially from scratch, and producing decent results. The novices have performed very well and have shown exceptional promise, with some great race performances. CCBC is looking strong and has widened its base of members this year considerably, and all crews are looking forward to an exciting Lents in the new boathouse.
